Vigilant

Bernie was a vigilant cat. He always kept an eye on his surroundings, making sure that everything was in order. One day, while lounging in the backyard, Bernie noticed a squirrel trying to steal his owner's nuts from the bird feeder. Bernie quickly jumped into action, running towards the squirrel and scaring it away. Later that day, Bernie's owner took him for a walk around the neighborhood. Bernie was on high alert, looking out for any potential dangers. As they passed by a construction site, Bernie heard a loud noise and immediately pulled on his leash, signaling for his owner to stop and investigate. They soon realized that a worker had accidentally dropped a heavy tool on the ground, causing the noise. Back home, Bernie continued to be vigilant. He watched over his owner as they worked on their computer, making sure that no one entered the house without permission. As the day came to a close, Bernie curled up on his bed, satisfied that he had done his duty and kept everyone safe.
