Sporadic

Once upon a time, there was a cat named Bernie. Bernie loved to explore the neighborhood and would often go on long adventures. However, Bernie had a sporadic habit of disappearing for days on end, leaving his owners worried sick. One day, Bernie's owners decided to put a GPS tracker on him to keep tabs on his whereabouts. They soon discovered that Bernie's disappearances were not due to any misadventures, but rather because he had a secret life as a superhero cat! He would sneak out at night to fight crime and protect the city from evil-doers. Despite his sporadic absences, Bernie's owners couldn't help but be proud of their heroic feline. They even started a fan club for him, which grew sporadically in size as more people learned about his exploits. Although Bernie's sporadic disappearances continued, his owners knew that he was out there somewhere, doing good and making the world a better place. And that made them sleep a little easier at night.
