Bernie the cat was feeling quite witty today. He strutted around the house with his tail held high, feeling proud of himself for being so clever. As he wandered into the kitchen, he noticed a mouse scurrying across the floor. Bernie crouched down, ready to pounce, but the mouse seemed to sense danger and quickly scampered away. Undeterred, Bernie continued his quest for entertainment. He decided to play a game of hide and seek with his owners, darting behind curtains and under furniture. When they finally found him, he gave them a sly grin, knowing that he had outsmarted them once again. Later that evening, as Bernie curled up in his favorite spot by the fireplace, he couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction. He was a witty cat, always up for a challenge and never one to shy away from a good game of cat and mouse.
